I’ve strolled down Newbury dozens of times this summer, peaking into every alleyway and brickstone basement porch. So imagine my surprise when I first noticed Ball and Buck on the corner of Dartmouth and Newbury - a rugged, hunting-inspired men’s apparel store that sells and bleeds everything America.
I wandered inside and slowly worked my way down the aisles, curiously inspecting the durability of the 100% American-made gear. In addition to the hardy shirts, demin, and neckwear, there was something here for every kind of man - from the hand-crafted hunting knife for your next camping trip to the elegantly rustic Orca speakers for entertaining your guests with your favorite beats.
And then I saw it, tucked away in the back - a barbershop. Not just any barbershop, mind you, but the kind of barbershop that reminds any craftsman, hunter, or urban male with respectable scruff of his manhood.
If you’re in the neighborhood and need an old-fashioned beard trim or even just a midday respite, head over to Ball and Buck for a hot towel face wrap and impeccable straight razor shave by Dwayne, the resident barber.

Stumbled across the brand Ball and Buck a few weeks back. Some great authentic American threads.
